Brigitte Caille is one of my favorite Makeup Artists because she is also a Licensed Esthetician. There are not many who specialize in skin and makeup combined, so to have both fields down is quite unique. Because of her background with skin and makeup Brigitte really knows how to bring out one's natural beauty without clogging your pores full of layers of foundation and powders. While you want to look your best on your wedding day, at the same time you do not want to wake up full of breakouts the next day from wearing too much foundation that the oils in the makeup impacted your skin.
The best foundation of all is good skin, which is why maintaining skin hygiene is very important. Your skin is the first thing people see when they look at you, and when your skin is flawless it is easy to look your best.
For your wedding, Brigitte suggests to 'get your skin ready months in advance.' If you have problematic skin like acne, sun damage, irritated, fatigued, or dehydrated skin you will want to start facial treatments three to six months before the wedding day. It usually takes a couple of sessions on top of proper at home care to treat problematic skin.
Remember to have any waxing done a week ahead of the event, and to get plenty of sleep in the days leading up. Also, stay well hydrated (this includes drinking plenty of water and applying hydrating products or exfoliates) as then your skin will look even more radiant.
