When you think of the traditional components that make up a wedding, flowers are one thing that often comes to mind. Flowers accent a wedding and capture the senses with their aromatic beauty. They create an enchanting atmosphere, transforming an ordinary setting into one right out of fairytale. Yet, flowers can also be pricey, and often go to waste after the wedding is over. So, why not try something a little unconventional in place of your flower bouquet?

Here are some of my...

A wedding would not be a wedding without a little family tension. Big affairs that bring multiple personalities together in one room have a tendency to yield some amount of friction.  It is especially common, albeit stressful, to experience amongst family members when planning a wedding.

Once the wedding is over, the tension will more than likely settle. However, when you are busy planning your wedding and trying to manage the tension on the side, it can easily become overwhelming....

Knowing how to properly pin on a boutonniere is of vital importance when it comes to polishing off the look of the groom and groomsmen. Nothing dumbs a look down more than a floppy boutonniere, so you want that boutonniere secure and nicely displayed. Here's how to pin a boutonniere:

1) The boutonniere should be placed on the top of the left lapel (right above the man's heart)

2) Start from the outer back of the lapel and stick the pin through the front

3) Push the pin through the stem of the bout...

Can you believe we are already in March 2018? This year is flying too fast. The past few months since December have been quiet for me. Given the birth of my daughter last year and the complications that came with it, while still staying afloat during a busy wedding season, once December hit I was burned out and needed a break. So I used the past couple months to collect and regroup. As I sip my sweet cup of coffee therapy and enter into beast mode again, I figured it would be nice to explore som...

I have been a bit quiet here with the blogs lately and for a good reason. This little beauty, Zoey Julianne, graced us with her presence this past April. We had some complications with the pregnancy and Zoey came two months earlier than expected, but she is now healthy, happy, and growing strong.

The past few months have been quite a journey and I feel blessed that everything turned out well. Seeing this little girl shine after such a rough start is a true inspiration and great reminder...

I have the worst luck with shoe shopping. My feet are flat and narrow, so as a result it is hard to find shoes that are comfortable and fit well, especially for fancy occasions.

When I was shoe shopping for my own wedding five years ago, I ended up settling on a pair of white ballroom dance shoes instead of traditional wedding shoes.

I used to be big into ballroom dancing, and once when I was teaching at Arthur Murray Dance Studio a student came in with the shoes she was going to...

Ko Zushi is one of my favorite up and coming Photographers who I had to highlight. I guarantee in a few years you will see a lot more of his work all over.

What sets Ko Zushi apart from some of the other great Photographers I know is his photo journalistic style when taking pictures. As Ko describes it, "each photo tells a story that begs for another picture to share more of the story." The way he accomplishes this is very edgy and deep.

I met Ko in college at California Stat...

I recently had the pleasure of working a Japanese inspired wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous and one of the rituals performed during the ceremony was the Japanese San San Kudo. The significance of the San San Kudo is beautiful. In this ritual each person takes 3 sips of sake each from 3 separate cups. The first 3 sips represent the bride and groom along with both of their parents. The second 3 sips represent the human flaws: hatred, passion, and ignorance. "Ku" in Japanese is the number 9 whic...
